American brand New Balance is expanding its presence in the Asian region. The company announced the opening of its first flagship store in Thailand. The brand’s development partner in the country is Indonesia-based MAP Active Adiperkasa.

The new flagship opened at Central World shopping center. The retail space, designed in line with the brand’s latest “We Got Now” concept, features a full range of New Balance collections and popular customer services. The store measures more than 230 square meters (2,500 square feet). It is currently the largest New Balance store in Thailand.

In early 2023, the company was forced to close all its stores in the country after its contract with distributor CRC Sports expired. After that, New Balance started to develop in the country independently.

New Balance is an American athletic footwear and apparel company well-known for its sports and lifestyle products. New Balance began in 1906 as a one-man operation manufacturing arch supports, and today exists as a global corporation, selling footwear and apparel in over 120 countries worldwide. There are more than 1,700 New Balance stores in the United States.
