Mango will launch four stores in Vaughan Mills, Markville, Upper Canada and Fairview by summer.
Spanish fashion brand Mango, one of the largest fashion retailers in the European market, is looking to expand into the U.S. and Canada by opening its mono-brand stores. The company announced the opening of a flagship store in Toronto. The outlet is located in the Yorkdale Shopping Centre at about 5,000 square feet.

The retailer will open six stores in the city by July 2023. The first openings will occur at Eaton Centre, Square One and Scarborough Town Centre as early as March and April. Mango will launch four stores in Vaughan Mills, Markville, Upper Canada and Fairview by summer.
The brand is growing in Canada through a partnership with local company Fox Group. The agreement calls for mono-brand stores to open in the U.S. and Canada over ten years. If 20 stores are opened within that time frame, the deal will be extended for another ten years.
Mango has been on the market since 1984 and today operates a network of several thousand stores in 115 countries. The turnover of the retailer in 2021 was estimated at 2.4 billion dollars. In Canada, the brand currently operates 95 stores.
Mango’s growth strategy also encompasses 15 new boutiques in Italy this year.
Mango will focus on expanding its footprint in key areas such as London and Scotland.
By 2024, Mango expects to open about 40 stores in the country.
