About this mall

Seven trade zones organize Souq7 in place of anchors. Azad Properties has split the Jeddah destination into foodstuff, fashion, home and furniture, electronics, automotive, building materials, and family entertainment, on a site of about 720,000 sqm with more than 420,000 sqm of GLA, more than 3,500 units and over 1,000 brands and stores.

The ground in south-east Jeddah was long home to the Prince Mitub markets, and Azad has kept the market logic while rebuilding it with modern infrastructure, organized circulation and public space. After a soft opening in September 2025, all seven zones opened on 10 December 2025. The family and entertainment zone holds the restaurants, cafés and cinemas, a cluster Azad puts at more than 50,000 sqm; DLR is the architect.

For an occupier, the relevant unit is the zone. An electronics or furniture retailer takes space among category neighbors, closer to a specialist market than to inline mall space, and the pull of the destination comes from the depth of each trade rather than from a department store. Azad counts a catchment of about 1.45 million people and more than 24,000 direct and indirect jobs supported by the project.

Azad, founded in 2017, is treating Jeddah as a template: a Hampton by Hilton is planned inside the precinct, and a Souq7 Riyadh is being developed with the National Housing Company. Souq7 received the Special Jury Prize at the MAPIC Awards 2026 on 4 November 2026.
