Owned and developed by Sonae Sierra and Foncière Euris, Loop5 was inaugurated in October 2009, and is located in Weiterstadt – Frankfurt.
Aviation is the central theme of LOOP5. With 56,000 square meters retail area, LOOP5 features an attractive blend of 170 large and midsize tenants, representing international, national and regional brands, as well as local retailers from the fashion, entertainment, electronics and other sectors. Visitors can find 1,000 square meters of exquisite food court and catering facilities, while over 1,200 square meters are reserved for fun and entertainment.
Retail brands such as C & A, Camp David, Desigual, Gerry Weber, H & M, Jack Wolfskin, Mango, Marc O’Polo, Mexx, OLYMP, Promod, TALLY WEiJL, Tom Tailor, Douglas, Sons & Daughters and Tommy Hilfiger are setled in the mall.
LOOP 5 is located close to the A5 motorway between Frankfurt, Darmstadt and Wiesbaden and has parking space for more than 3,000 vehicles. The central location close to the A5 motorway ensures easy access to the mall. You can reach the center with 5516, 5513, 5515, 675 lines.
The name Loop relates to air travel and refers to the proximity of Frankfurt airport.
Visitors are guided through the “contemporary aviation” and “flight pioneers” areas, which are interlinked by a “jet age” mall. The food court is spanned by a folded glass roof.
The shopping centers external appearance is derived from the concepts of velocity and a jewel box. The rhythmically raised, sand-colored slabs of the façade expose to view the permanently changing, recessed, colored levels of the building envelope. The design culminates in a crown-like top of perforated metal that is animated day and night by a twinkling play of light and shadow.
Propellers, wings, rudders and rotors in the graphic design of the banisters, floor surfaces and ceilings characterize the interior design oft the new shopping destination. With its dimensions of 320 by 150 meters, the building complex consists of a shopping centre comprised of two full floors, a basement, and an eight-meter- high, recessed staggered floor with nine parking levels that accommodate 3,000 cars.
Both construction elements are connected by a supply street on the lower floor and bridges above, and are unified in a coherent architectural form by the rounding off of the building corners and the continuous running façade.
The company also plans to open about 1,000 new McCafe outlets in the country at the end of the year.
Skims, Primark, Ulta Beauty, and Pacsun all opened their first international stores in Dubai within 90 days.
