When it first opened in 1971, the Hassen Center was one of the first shopping centers in Germany, and still it is one of the most popular in Hesse. Since the modernization from 1998, the shopping in this mall become even more attractive. Today The Hessen-Center it is one of the five major shopping centers in the closer vicinity of Frankfurt.
Under the large glass roof there are three levels, partly decorated with plants and fountains. At about 36,000 square meters, 150 speciality stores are presented. Among the retailers there are major department store, food and beverage specialists, restaurants and cafes. HessenCenter is a popular location for interior design items at modest rates. Another advantage of the Hessen-Center is the easy access – whether by car, bus or train.
The mall is located in the district of Bergen-Enkheim in the east part of the city. It is well connected with public transport.
