Diamant

The property opened as Diamant in 2006 on Dzerzhinsky Square in Volgograd’s Traktorozavodsky district, on Lenin Avenue, the arterial road that threads together the city’s northern districts, from Traktorozavodsky through Krasnooktyabrsky to the Central and Voroshilovsky districts. It has since operated under the name Sem Zvezd (Seven Stars), a name it has carried continuously since at least 2018. That corridor position gives the center a catchment stretching well beyond its immediate neighborhood: roughly 45,000 residents live within a five-minute drive, and 178,000 within ten minutes.

At roughly 44,000 sqm, Sem Zvezd runs M.Video and DNS for electronics and Detsky Mir for children’s goods, with Chitay-Gorod, Zenden and Belwest carrying books and footwear. The center’s daily traffic count, cited at more than 23,000 vehicles passing the site, reflects Lenin Avenue’s role as one of Volgograd’s busiest north-south routes rather than purely local footfall.

A bowling club, cinema and a dedicated children’s play center continue to anchor the entertainment side, both still carrying the Diamant name internally even after the property’s overall rebrand, a naming split that shows up in some directories still listing the property under its old name. That combination of anchor retail with a genuinely large-scale entertainment offer distinguishes the center from smaller strip-format centers along the same corridor.

Should not be confused with the smaller Diamant Zatsaritsynsky center in Volgograd’s Voroshilovsky district, a separate roughly 18,300 sqm property that opened in 2011 under a similar name but with no shared ownership or management.
