About this mall

Taubman Asia developed CityOn.Zhengzhou in joint venture with Beijing Wangfujing Department Store Group, opening the center in Zhengdong New Area in March 2017. Taubman Centers became part of Simon Property Group in 2020, though CityOn.Zhengzhou continues to operate under Taubman Asia’s original joint venture with Wangfujing rather than direct Simon management.

Wangfujing anchors the six-level structure across four floors, one of the department store group’s largest locations in Henan Province. Around it sits a fast-fashion register built for volume rather than luxury positioning: H&M, Zara, Uniqlo, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Oysho and Stradivarius sit alongside Zara Home, a lineup that reads as a European high-street import rather than a domestic Chinese format.

Zhengzhou Metro Line 6’s Jinhuiqiao station, opened in November 2024, connects directly to the center, with Lines 4 and 5 running nearby in Zhengdong New Area. That connection matters more than the tenant roster: CBD office density and metro convergence, not tourism, drive the daily catchment.

CityOn.Zhengzhou opened at full lease within 100 days and has since been marketed locally as a commercial landmark for Central China, a claim tenants test each renewal cycle against Zhengzhou’s newer entrants competing for the same Zhengdong footfall.
