The long-awaited opening of a new shopping center by McArthurGlen took place in Malaga.
Malaga is located close to the airport and near popular towns Marbella, Nerha, and Ronda.
The Outlet was developed in front of Plaza Major, an open-air shopping space with stores of the world’s largest brands, including Zara, H&M, and Mango, as well as hypermarkets Mercadona and Media Markt.
Designer Outlet Malaga currently has 38 stores and several cafes and restaurants, including Mas Q Menos, Spain’s popular chain, and Starbucks Coffee House. Tenants include men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing and footwear stores, as well as manufacturers of household goods. By the end of February, the outlet will be 80% full of tenants, and in the next six months, the number should increase to 100. The concept of the mall provides discounts on past collections of the world’s leading brands from 30% to 70% during the year.
The total area of Designer Outlet Malaga is 17 750 sq m (about 190 059 sq f) with parking for 1,500 cars, in addition to the existing space of Plaza Major. The outlet is open for visitors from Monday to Saturday, opening time 10:00–22:00. Among the shops represented are Polo Ralph Lauren, Adidas, Karl Lagerfeld, Hawkers, Scalpers, Calvin Klein, Diesel, and others.
