The launch of the new set is the first McDonald’s McNugget Buddy in more than 25 years.

McDonald’s has unveiled an original collaboration with fashionable Herlem comedian Kerwin Frost. It’s about a special Kerwin Frost Box set that contains 10 servings of chicken McNuggets or Big MacNuggets, fries and a soft drink.
The launch of the new series is the first McDonald’s McNugget Buddy in more than 25 years. The box will also include a limited edition collectible McNugget Buddy figurine created with Frost. The designs focus on Frost’s childhood experiences and memories of Harlem.
Among them, there’s Kerwin Frost, the mayor of Frost Way; Don Bernice, the wise stylist; Uptown Moe, the neighborhood hero; Waffutu, the curious optimist; BRRRICK, the cool guy; and Darla, the dreamer.
“I’ve loved McDonald’s since I was a kid.I even had my own Ronald McDonald doll that I brought to picture day at school, and it was my dream to collect all the McNugget Buddies,” Frost said. “Now, coming up with my own special set of Buddies – each one representing different aspects of self-expression – it’s unreal, a dream come true. McDonald’s has been a great partner from Day One, and they’ve truly allowed me to create without limits.”
For McDonald’s, the partnership with Frost’s is another attempt to give its adult customers fond childhood memories. In the past, McDonald’s has celebrated a successful collaboration with Cactus Plant Flea Market, creating unusual Happy Meal kits.
“Fans told us they wanted to celebrate that quintessential childhood experience again,” said Tariq Hassan, McDonald’s USA chief marketing and customer experience officer. “So, we’re excited to team up with Kerwin on this next take, as he brings his own childhood McDonald’s memories to life through reimagined McDonald’s characters, immersing our fans in the world of Frost Way.”
The collaboration translated into unique designs on hoodies, t-shirts and skateboards.
