Spanish restaurants of the fast-food giant are experimenting with their menus.

McDonald’s will offer nachos, a popular Mexican dish with corn tortilla chips and a variety of toppings, in its restaurants. As a result, a menu of one of the main dishes of Yum Brands’ Taco Bell fast-food chain is being introduced by the fast-food giant.
In the United States, nachos and fajitas are favorites at sports bars and specialty restaurants. However, McDonald’s experiment extends well beyond the U.S. and Mexico. According to The Street, a new dish and menu based on tacos will be available in Spanish restaurants.
The new Grand McExtreme Nachos feature cheddar cheese, tomato, onion, double meat, and nachos inside the burger, according to a release announcing the new menu at McDonald’s in Spain.
McDonald’s has tried introducing new dishes in local markets worldwide more than once before. In its early history, the fast-food giant sold pizza and spaghetti, and in the 1990s, it already served traditional Mexican dishes – burritos and fajitas. The burger-focused company’s menu innovations, however, were mostly a failure.
Despite this, experts are generally optimistic about the experiment to introduce nachos to Spanish restaurants. It is possible that in the future, the novelties may appear in other markets, including McDonald’s restaurants in the United States.
