V2 is a shopping center located on the French town Villeneuve d'Ascq in the northern part of France, and designed by architect Jean Willerval . It was first opened on 8 November 1977 , at the time of the creation of the new city .
It is at the time of its creation the largest shopping center north of Paris in 2004 and remains the largest commercial area of Nord-Pas-de-Calais .
Expanded for the first time in 1989, the center began redevelopment work in 2004 which was be completed in 2006.
