Adidas opened a new flagship store in Seoul. The two-level store, located in the famous shopping district of Myeongdong, has become the largest in the country. The launch of the new giant Adidas flagship marks the return of tourist traffic to South Korea after the pandemic. The state-of-the-art store in the “Home of Sports” concept is the first of its kind in the entire Asia-Pacific region.
The store features entire Adidas men’s and women’s footwear and apparel collections, including Sports Performance, Originals, and Y-3. The first floor of the retail space features the Shop, Seoul Lab, and Adidas Performance running and training lines. The second floor features soccer, outdoor (Terrex), Adidas Originals, basketball, merchandise, and the Y-3 premium line.
The two-story flagship has a total floor space of about 2,500 square meters. The mono store was designed using local architectural elements. At the same time, aspects of design and construction were considered n in a “sustainable and creative” wed.
South Korea is emerging as one of the key markets in the Asia-Pacific region for the German sports giant. With the opening of a new flagship and two brand centers, the manufacturer intends to increase the number of retail stores and strengthen its online presence to provide local customers with more of a shopping experience.
