New Balance American footwear manufacturer is based in the Brighton area of Boston. Founded in 1906, the New Balance Arch Support Company is a major sports footwear manufacturer.

New Balance has manufacturing plants in both the US and the United Kingdom. Popular models Include the 990 model. New Balance competitors manufacture outside of the USA and UK. New Balance owns five factories in the United States: Boston and Lawrence, Mass, and three in Norridgewock, Skowhegan, and Norway, Maine.The New Balance production facility in the United Kingdom at Flimby, Cumbria, in North West England, has since 1982, produced 28,000 pairs of shoes each week.
