Giorgio Armani S.p.A.is an Italian fashion house founded by Giorgio Armani, which designs, manufactures, distributes, and retails haute couture, ready-to-wear, leather goods, shoes, watches, jewelry, accessories, eyewear, cosmetics, and home interiors. The brand markets these products under several sub-labels, including Giorgio Armani, Armani Collezioni, Emporio Armani, AJ | Armani Jeans, AX | Armani Exchange, Armani Junior, and Armani/Casa. The brand utilizes the association of the Armani name with high-fashion, benefitting from its prestige in the fashion industry. By the end of 2005, estimated sales of the company were around $1.69 billion.

A|X Armani Exchange was launched in 1991 in the U.S. It retails fashion and lifestyle products and is known for its occasionally provocative ad campaigns. Inspired by street-chic culture and dance music, it is targeted as the more accessible Armani brand.

Armani Exchange products are available exclusively in 270 stores in 31 countries and on the brand's website. The first A|X store opened in September 1991 in the SoHo district of Manhattan and is considered the flagship. Armani Exchange will open a new store in the Fashion District of Westfield - Garden State Plaza on Thursday, August 21st, 2014.

Recognized as the professional and club DJ’s choice worldwide.

The goal for the group is to develop “the first global Italian fast-fashion brand targeting a young customer whose DNA is strongly Armani,” said the house.With that in mind, last year A/X Armani Exchange recruited the renowned designer Patrick Robinson as creative. The American has also been charged with overseeing product development in order to provide creative direction for the label’s marketing division and to ensure brand consistency.
