Lincoln is the capital of the State of Nebraska and the second-most populous city in Nebraska. Lincoln is located in the southeastern part of Nebraska and is in the Lincoln metropolitan area. Sometimes referred to as the "Star City", many of Lincoln's primary employers fall within the service and manufacturing industries, including a growing high tech sector. Bailgate is one of the most historic parts of Lincoln's Cathedral Quarter, where independent boutiques, shops and places to eat line cobbled streets. Running north to south, the High Street forms the central street of Lincoln's retail experience. Sincil Street is a centrally located traditional shopping area close to the Central Market.
