Budapest and Hungary’s biggest shopping mall, Arena Plaza, which is managed by Cushman & Wakefield and owned by Lanebridge Investment Management Limited, is currently being transformed.

The most recognized centre in the country, measuring 65000m², with a tenant mix of 200 brands is changing customers’ shopping experience by presenting international fashion labels while retaining a variety of successful, local retailers which formed part of its original concept when it opened in 2007.

This mix has ensured that consumers have a huge shopping choice.

There are key deals that will form part of the new concept which is set to affect around 30 stores. This includes allowing Zara to extend its current store to 2500m² and relocating its Oysho store to the ground floor. The Spanish Inditex Group is set to move its new Massimo Dutti into a 600m² unit.

H&M will be expanding its store and its range. The mall management has shown excitement about having closed these deals and being the first centre of its king to welcome Massimo Dutti. They state that the transactions indicate how successful the scheme is and the continued need for premium space.
