By the end of 2022, the company expects to open up to 1,000 dark kitchens in the United States.

The social network TikTok will enter a new market by launching a division to deliver ready-made food. The new platform will operate in the United States under the TikTok Kitchen brand. It was reported by the Bloomberg news agency, citing a source at the company.
Earlier last week, it was revealed that TikTok had announced a partnership with Virtual Dining Concepts, which specializes in launching delivery restaurants. It included a project by culinary Youtube blogger MrBeast, which arranged more than 1 million burgers in its first three months of operation.
TikTok Kitchen plans to open about 300 dark kitchens in spring 2022. By the end of next year, the company expects to increase the number of delivery-oriented outlets to 1,000.
The concept of the new service involves the delivery of dishes based on recipes that are popular in the social network. The menu at TikTok Kitchen will be updated once a quarter. An exception will be made for dishes with a “viral” recipe, and they will be put on the menu out of turn. The company will use part of the profits from the sale of the dishes to reward the authors of the videos.
