A new hotel mall is on the horizon for the Orlando area in 2015.
After a dramatic decrease in stores and foot traffic during the economic recession Orlando’s oldest shopping area, Fashion Square is being redeveloped. Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide will open it’s third Element brand hotel, with the first two located in Miami. Element Orlando North will reach 8 stories above the remodeled shops with 151 studios and one-bedroom suites, each fully-equipped with kitchens. Additionally on the property the developer plans to add a large conference meeting area measuring nearly 91 square meters, an outdoor swimming pool and a fitness center all certified by the Green Building Council.
