About John Little

John Little is the homegrown retailer that aims to be the first choice shopping destination for value-conscious families, providing quality merchandise at the exceptional value. John Little was established in 1845 and was acquired by Robinsons in 1955.
Robinson and Company, the founding company, started selling in Singapore in 1858. In 1955 Robinson and Company acquired John Little. Marks & Spencer, which sold under the St. Michael name, first operated in 1958 in a John Little Store. The St. Michael name was officially changed to Marks & Spencer in 1994. The three brands have established themselves as household favorites with young and old alike.
There are currently 4 John Little stores in Singapore. Each offers a comprehensive range of merchandise, ranging from fabulous fashion finds and new children’s toys to household essentials, to meet the needs of families seeking quality for value. Today, the Robinsons Group is part of the Al-Futtaim Group, which comprises a diverse range of strategically positioned operating subsidiaries and associate companies in the Gulf region. Established in the 1930s as a trading business, Al-Futtaim is one of the most progressive regional business houses, with headquarters in Dubai, UAE.
