The company has promised to provide its own technological and logistical expertise to coordinate the vaccination program.
Several major U.S. companies will help with mass vaccination efforts in Washington state. Among them are Starbucks, Microsoft, and other giants, according to a statement from state governor Jay Inslee.
Authorities expect to reach a high rate of 45,000 people a day through the program. The state has expanded the vaccination management and coordination center, which is being joined by representatives of businesses and some public organizations.
Starbucks, which operates the world’s largest coffee shops chain, promised to provide its own technical and logistical expertise to organize the vaccination program. Specifically, the company’s experts will help the center choose the most suitable locations to open points.
“We have 33 thousand establishments, we serve 100 million visitors a week, and we have a team of world-class designers,” commented the company.
Microsoft Corp. is ready to support the vaccination campaign with a number of its technologies. Other companies that will assist state authorities include the Kaiser Permanente medical consortium and Costco. This retailer will deliver vaccines to vaccination sites.
