Bedok Mall is the first full-fledged shopping mall , that serves Singapore's largest residential estate of close to 300,000 residents.   Located in the heart of the Bedok Town Centre, Bedok Mall is the centerpiece of the transformation of Bedok intoan exciting hub, the gateway to the East Coast. Reflecting its close association with the sea and reservoir, Bedok Mall’s architectural design simulates sweeping waves. Facade panels will be arranged in an undulating manner to create a three dimensional effect enhanced by graduating perforations.
The mall has been designed to be environmentally-friendly and has received the highest green accolade, the Building and Construction Authority’s Green Mark Platinum. It features a host of green technologies and adopts the best operational practices for energy and water efficiency, for recycling and minimising the environmental footprint, while creating a platform for all stakeholders to learn about sustainability. The mall also has a solar photovoltaic glass installed on public walkway canopies to generate electricity.
