Saks New York Expansion: to open new store concept

Business has been favorable for luxury chain, SAKS, as it looks to open specialty store #2 in the affluent suburb of New York City.

The store to open at 200 Greenwich Avenue will cover a 21,000 square feet area. It will feature jewelry and contemporary women products. Currently, the exact time of when the store will be open to the public has not been announced. 

This news is coming barely months after SAKS announced plans to open a Greenwich standalone shoe store under its successful 1022-Shoe brand.

 SAKS expansion of its specialty stores is projected to increase in the future possibly in other locations. Although, the earnings and sales patterns from its Greenwich locations will influence the scope and speed of expansion.
With this store, the number of locations operated by SAKS in Greenwich will increase to three. In light of this, SAKS will also carry out in-store expansions, specifically in its current location. More space will be added to the area dedicated to women’s designer ready-to-wear merchandise. Vendor shops will also receive more space, with the upper level expected to receive layout changes. A new private jewelry viewing room will also debut in the existing store.
