CVS is the 2nd biggest pharmacy chain in the United States. Selling prescription drugs and general merchandise including:

CVS was established in 1963 by Sidney and Stanley Goldstein and Ralph Hoagland in Lowell, Massachusetts. Under the name Customer Value Store, the name of the chain was later shortened to CVS.
The organization is headquartered in Woonsocket, Rhode Island and is a subsidiary of the CVS Caremark Corporation. The Corporation provides pharmacy services through the CVS stores.
Operating 7600 stores and 600 Minute-Clinics across the USA, District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. The company recently acquired a drug store chain in Brazil, South America.
CVS is the 13 largest company worldwide and is the leading competitor to Walgreens. The CVS Corporation employees approximately 200,000 people and showed 1660 billion in revenue for 2013.
In October of 2014, CVS will stop selling cigarettes and other tobacco type product to serve the general health of the customer base better and has taken the initiative in combating prescription drug abuse in the United States.
