Auchan

Auchan Is a supermarket chain that was founded in 1961 by Gerard Mulliez. He started Auchan with one self-service shop in Roubaix, district of Hauts-Champs, France and has expanded to numerous other countries. The company is currently headquartered in Croix, France.  Auchan is the 11th largest food retailer worldwide and the 2nd largest in France.

Auchan operates on a  set of core values which include trust, sharing, and progress. They feel that their wealth can be attributed to their workforce.

Auchan operates 774 hypermarkets, 817 supermarkets, and 362 Shopping centers worldwide. While employing 302,500 people. As of 2013 Auchen has a  net value of  62.1 billion euros.
