Abra is the biggest furniture chain in Poland.It was founded and headquartered in Krakow in 1990. The first Abra store was established in Kraków, Wadowice.  Abra offers the wide selection of outstanding products regarding design, color and functionality such as a container for bedding, including corners, sofas, sofa beds, living room furniture, youth, office furniture, dining room, bedrooms, mattresses, etc. In 2000, the company had ten stores located primarily in southern Poland. In September 2011, Abra SA became a part of the Group Steinhoff International Holdings Limited - one of the largest companies in the home furnishings and household goods. Abra S.A. operates as a subsidiary of JD Group Ltd. Today Abra operates almost 91 retail outlets, located in more than 82 Polish cities. Abra also is developing a network of franchise stores, in the towns with less than 100 thousand residents. Because of their network of six warehouses supplying their stores, they have the opportunity to deliver the goods in the very short amount of time.
