Czestochowa is a city in southern Poland on the Warta River with 240 000 inhabitants. It has been situated in the Silesian Voivodeship (administrative division) since 1999, and was previously the capital of the Częstochowa Voivodeship. It is 13th most populous city in Poland. It is the largest economic, cultural and administrative hub in the northern part of the Silesian Voivodeship. M1 with a total of 28,800 m2 GLA of leasable space is the first shopping centre built in Częstochowa. Galeria Jurajska totalling 48,000 m2 GLA and 200 shops is the largest and the most attractive shopping centre in the city. Częstochowa’s market is dominated by traditional shopping centres and there is a shortage of retail parks in the city.
