The service, called Nike Adventure Club, is designed for children between the ages of two and ten and provides four, six or twelve pairs of shoes per year. Subscriptions cost $20, $30 or $50 per month, respectively.
“Nike Adventure Club lets kids regularly select Nike and Converse shoes for the right-fitting shoe as their feet – and tastes – evolve,” said a report posted on the company’s blog.
To use the service, you need to register with Nike Adventure Club and choose a subscription to Nike and Converse shoes. More than 100 pairs of new collections in different styles are offered to choose from. Depending on the type of subscription chosen, the company will deliver a personalized parcel to the customer every month, once every two months or once a quarter. If the shoes don’t fit, Nike promises to exchange them for free. You can also suspend or cancel your subscription at any time.
In the set, except for a couple of sneakers or sneakers, the client will be waiting for a unique “adventure set,” which will include a small present from the company, as well as illustrated instructions for outdoor activities and games for the whole family and branded stickers. The company’s partner in the project is the non-profit organization KaBoom.
Nike Adventure Club is also an environmental project. Nike promises to pick up used shoes twice a year, which will be sent for recycling. If the sneakers remain in good condition after six months, the company will transfer them to the funds of needy families. In case of interest, the client reserves the right to keep a pair of shoes.
For the first time, Nike announced the launch of a test subscription service for children’s shoes in 2017. At the testing stage, the project was known as EasyKicks. The first Nike Adventure Club subscriptions became available to customers in the U.S. on August 12.
