The latest technological innovations dominate the renovated retail space.
Inditex Group announced the reopening of Zara's flagship store at Phoenix Palladium Mall in Mumbai. The three-story, more than 26,000-square-foot store opened its doors to customers after an extensive renovation and refurbishment. Zara opened the store in Phoenix Palladium's prestigious location in 2010, only its second as the brand began expanding into an emerging market.
The renovated retail space is dominated by the latest technological innovations, bridging the worlds of physical and online shopping. Monostore is also notable for its "quality of space" and commitment to its sustainability strategy. The flagship's interior is dominated by a circular staircase connecting the retail spaces and clean, light and neutral tones using wooden furniture and natural textiles.
The first floor showcases women's clothing collections, the lower floor houses children's lines, and the second-floor houses products for men. It also houses the brand's new Zara Beauty and Zara Origins sections, the first in the western region of India. The new Zara Beauty section combines a wide range of eye, lip, face and nail products with a palette of over 130 colors, including matte, metallic, glossy and pearlescent shades.
The rooms mimic "concept" spaces and look like "mini boutiques" with special furniture and designs for the products on display. In the new store, the brand offers customers the service of booking fitting rooms, searching for goods, ordering online with a receipt within two hours, and checking the availability of goods in stock.
Zara continues to aggressively pursue growth in the fast-growing Indian market, which has attracted an increasing number of high-end brands worldwide in recent years. As of the second quarter of 2023, Inditex has 25 stores under management in India, including 22 under the Zara brand.
