New store combines brick-and-mortar retail and digital experiences.
Spanish fashion brand Zara opened its most modern store in Austria. The new flagship opened in the Europark shopping and entertainment center, owned by SES Spar European Shopping Centers.
Zara monostore, opened in Salzburg after a major renovation, is more than 3,000 square meters, which is more than twice as much as before. Zara first opened in Europark Salzburg in 2005.
The store offers an expanded range of men's, women's and children's clothing, as well as a completely new department of sportswear. The shop has a new concept using organic materials and shapes in the design, furniture and decor elements.
The new store, which combines the experience of physical and digital commerce, introduces the "Store Mode" function. Shoppers can browse available items through the mobile app, order them online and pick them up within two hours. In addition, a fitting room can be booked through the app. Monostore also features self-service checkout counters, exclusive pick-up and return areas for online orders.
“We are thrilled about the expansion of Zara’s offering at EUROPARK Salzburg – covering twice the space. It makes a strong statement for brick-and-mortar retail. Zara has demonstrated how skillfully it can combine the digital world with the real one,” says Christoph Andexlinger, COO of SES Spar European Shopping Centers.
