Parking near Walmart hypermarkets will temporarily turn into car cinemas.
Retailers have already published a list of places in 26 states, wherefrom August 14 to the end of October; such service will be provided. In total, cinemas are scheduled to open immediately in 160 parking lots. They'll be beginning at 6 p.m., and screenings will start at 7:30 p.m.
Cinemas in the parking lots will showcase a variety of films, from classics to modern ones. The company has published a list of some of them; it includes such famous films as "The Wizard of Oz," "Black Panther," "People in Black," "Spy Kids," "Lego. The Movie", "Spider-Man," "Back to the Future" and many others. In other words, the organizers of cinemas are trying to reach the broadest possible audience.
The screenings will be free. However, anyone wishing to visit them must first register on a specially created website. Visitors will also be able to order food, drinks, and other self-catering items that can be picked up on their way to the cinema.
The opening of Walmart cinemas was made possible thanks to cooperation with the media company Tribeca Enterprises, which organizes the annual Tribeca Film Festival.
