The world's largest chain of theatres coming out of quarantine

As early as August 20, AMC network plans to reopen the doors of more than 100 cinemas for viewers after quarantine.

Due to the stoppage of the film industry and the postponement of major blockbusters, as well as constant changes in the decisions of local authorities, theatres chains in the U.S. for a long time could not decide on the opening of facilities. However, the largest cinema chain in the country and the world, AMC Theaters, said that from 20 August plans to open more than 100 of its locations. In total, AMC operates more than 1000 halls worldwide, of which about 600 are located in the U.S. territory. 

Also, the company plans to open theatres gradually, and by September 3, presumably will resume about two-thirds of all theatres in the network. Given the fact that AMC has postponed the reopening several times already, such a step may become a sign for the entire industry and start a mass opening of cinemas and other networks.  

In the opening, the company will be guided by the decisions of local authorities. AMC also said that the work of open institutions would be subject to new security rules. In particular, both employees and spectators will be required to wear masks. Also, regular disinfection and cleaning of all premises, especially areas with large crowds of people, as well as the availability of sanitation workers and disinfectant wipes, are guaranteed. Other safety measures include the use of HEPA vacuum cleaners for cleaning, modernizing air conditioning systems, and reducing the number of seats for spectators in the hall.
