Nordstrom is set to place Wanelo in more than 100 of its stores by using a television display that will scroll through users’ most highly rated products.
Many apps have tried to determine how to bring the liking, posting and sharing loved by so many millions, into the shopping world. Wanelo have found the answer and proven it by boasting in excess of 11 million users who are able to browse, upload and save its merchandise collection.
Nordstrom has an account that is thriving and boasts 1.2m followers who can upload products which other users can save and purchase from the site. Nordstrom is fully aware that the app is particularly popular among teens and tween which is why it is putting the displays into the store’s junior sections. To ensure that the items being shown on the screens are actually available for purchase, the store takes a snapshot of the trending category on a weekly basis. This is matched to their inventory levels and what the stores have available. This allows the store to offer excellent customer experience and service.
