Mars Retail Group has announced upcoming discoveries at Disney Springs, Mall of America, and Berlin.
The retail division of one of the largest U.S. food manufacturers, Mars Retail Group, announced plans to open three new M&M's stores with a focus on customer experience. The flagship store with an area of over 2200 square meters will be located in Mall of America shopping and entertainment center.
Other openings are planned in Disney Springs Mall in Orlando, as well as in Berlin. Each of the M&M's stores will use elements of local culture to engage customers, as well as give to the local community in terms of design and range of products presented. The new stores will showcase iconic brand elements such as "Chocolate Wall," character life scenes, and creative opportunities, including digital cabins for instant M&M's-style photos and a chocolate maker's design service.
"We always strive to deliver the best M&M's brand has to our customers in every new store," commented Patrick McIntyre, Global Retail Director, Mars Retail Group. "Our new stores outperform previous formats in terms of design and engagement to create a real customer connection. We aim to combine exciting retail and digital solutions and bring the brand to life in the most compelling way possible.
The new phase of M&M's retail expansion will begin with the relocation of the existing store in Orlando to the Walt Disney World Resort amusement park. Construction will start in the coming days and will be completed in 2020. After the launch of the renovated retail space, M&M's will open its main store in Mall of America. The two-level store will feature a distinctive décor with an emphasis on Midwestern culture. The flagship store will be launched in late 2020, anticipating the start of the festive season.
In the first quarter of 2021, Mars Retail Group will present its retail concept for the first time on the continental European market. One of Berlin's main shopping streets has been chosen to house the M&M's store. The interior of the shopping space will also be inspired by local art and the city's attractions. "The new stores, strategically located in top locations where our customers expect to see us, confirm our goal to connect with true fun lovers and chocolate lovers," said McIntyre.
The new M&M's branded retail spaces will join the existing network, which has many locations in North America, Europe, and Asia, led by flagship stores in New York, London, and Shanghai.
