Vienna’s most modern shopping center opens with top brands, a multitude of restaurants, modern architecture, and unique water features.
The most modern shopping center in Vienna was built over 26 months on the site of a 30-year-old shopping park at a traditional and successful commercial location in the southeast of Vienna. The most attractive top brands; a particularly high share of gastronomy areas of over 10%; a modern, light-flooded architectural design; and a large indoor water area, the first on such a scale in an Austrian shopping center, all make huma eleven a leisure meeting place with great quality of stay. This corresponds to the latest international trends for shopping centers. SES Spar European Shopping Centers, which has operated the site for more than 20 years, and the owner, the Munich-based Jost Hurler Group, started the project in 2013. The new huma eleven offers 60 shops on about 30,000 m². It includes an attractive mix of top international brands and regional providers in the fields of fashion, beauty, technology, sports, services, and catering. By 2017, the center will be enlarged with an addition building section, bringing a total of 800 jobs to the 11th district. huma eleven will then cover over 50,000 m² of lettable area and house 90 stores, making it the second-largest shopping center in Vienna.A completely redesigned INTERSPAR also opened its doors with the opening of huma eleven. On approximately 4,200 m² of sales area, INTERSPAR customers again shop in a modern and timeless shopping environment with over 50,000 products for daily life. The new INTERSPAR bakery, the first farm shop in eastern Austria, a huge range for vegetarians and vegans, and an EatHappy sushi bar are extras on top of the store's usual strengths of freshness, variety of range, and a top price-performance ratio. From cosmetics, to toys, to kitchen accessories, to electrical appliances, INTERSPAR in huma eleven offers everything you need for daily life at home.
The center sets new standards with its water feature—an organically shaped water area measuring over 200 m², lined with river pebbles, and modeled on the Danube floodplains. 19 movable water nozzles, 19 lighting elements, and a 4.5-meter-high curtain of water provide an impressive show that attracts the attention of visitors. 16,000 liters of water are circulated within it each hour.
