The first flagship retail store Google will open in two blocks south of companies region headquarter Midwest.
Google plans to open a two-level trade area in Chicago. The first independent retail store of the American corporation is placed on Fulton market. Currently, the technology giant is close to completing the lease on approximately 4,670 square meters on the first two floors of the brick buildings along West Randolph Street, ChicagoTribune reports.
Until now, Google has presented in physical retail as pop-up shops and locales in the shop-in-shop points. In the company itself do not comment on the possibility of opening full-fledged physical stores. There is also no information about the possible opening of Google stores in other cities.
Although experts in the field of retail and high technology have recently been actively discussing the possibility of Google's exit to traditional retail, to show consumers a growing list of their electronic products - smartphones, tablets, thermostats, security management systems and of course Google Home - as a version of Amazon Echo.
