DICK’s Adds To Winning Lineup With 5 More Stores

The retailer has announced the grand opening dates for five new locations.

DICK’s Sporting Goods has been enjoying some incredible growth of late, as the retailer has filled the void left by retailers that have exited the niche to become the clearcut leading omnichannel sporting goods retailer in the nation. The retailers winning lineup of authentic, high-quality sports equipment, apparel, footwear, and accessories continues to be a huge hit with consumers, who have fallen in love with the extensive assortment available at all of its locations. 



Off of the strength of that success, the roster of DICK’s is about to grow even larger. The retailer has announced the grand opening dates for five new locations, which will increase its depth to 702 total stores.

"Opening new stores in these communities allow us to better-serve our customers with a wide range of top-of-the-line products and services, as well as provide superior customer service from associates who are passionate about sports and the outdoors. We're excited to become an important part of these communities."

Opening this week is a new location at the Del Amo Fashion Center in Torrance, California. As part of the grand opening festivities, guests will have the opportunity to win some awesome prizes, and they’ll also have the chance to meet some special guests. Talented Los Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon and legendary former Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Bill Russell will be on hand for a meet and greet, and you can bet the fans will be lining up for this exciting event. 

On June 16 through June 18, four different DICK’s stores will be opening up. Two stores will be moving into the Miami, Florida area, one at Dadeland Station and another at The Shops at Midtown Miami, while a third store will open in Aventura, Florida. The fourth store for that round of openings will slide into the Sawgrass Mills Mall in Sunrise, Florida. 

All four of those openings will feature special guests as well, including Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill, and former Miami Hurricanes running back Frank Gore in Miami, former Miami Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor in Aventura, and Miami Dolphins running back Jay Ajayi in Sunrise. 

That sounds like a winning lineup right there, and these new locations are set to hit the ground running with the help of some special guests. It looks like this growth story will be continuing for some time, as DICK’s has found the winning formula to resonate with today’s consumers.
