One of the last large commercial plots in the city is being built as part of a mixed-use facility.
Kraków still has great potential for investors. The offer of modern retail space in the Kraków agglomeration remains at a moderate level. KG Group, the developer from Kraków, is executing its flagship project on one of the last large commercial plots in the city – the Cracovia Outlet center, which is being built as part of a mixed-use facility.
Located on the banks of the Vistula River, Karków’s architectural qualities and lifestyle captivate visitors. This unique city attracts 13 million tourists every year from Poland and abroad. Coming in second place in terms of the population being at 767.3 thousand inhabitants, it is at the forefront of cities where Poles would like to live. The selected location is a unique opportunity for the developer who sees its commercial potential. Knowledge of the local market prompted KG Group to build a shopping facility where the Cracovia Outlet center will be opened.
The Cracovia Outlet center, with 21 000 m2 of a total retail area, will feature fashion stores offering permanent discounts. Two convenience shopping parks are planned as part of the nearly 60,000 m2 of the entire mixed-use shopping facility, prepared for quick everyday shopping, as well as housing a large furniture store of one of the most popular brands in Poland.
“The presence of an additional non-outlet offer affects a higher frequency of visits compared to outlet centers that do not provide this opportunity. The adopted mix is a proven market formula that makes it possible to achieve the effect of retail synergy and better penetrate the needs of Kraków’s local market, increasing the frequency of shopping and its complementarity,” says Krzysztof Gaczorek, President of the Management Board of KG Group.
“In addition, nowadays, due to the trading ban on selected Sundays introduced in Poland, the planning and shopping style is changing as the time spent on this is naturally reduced. Combining an outlet center with a retail park gives the opportunity to shop more efficiently, as there are wider possibilities offered to consumers in one shopping complex,” adds Krzysztof Gaczorek.
The facility is located in the central part of Kraków, in a place with a trade tradition and a zone associated with the trade. The following are located here: Selgros, several shopping centers, and the International Exhibition and Convention Centre EXPO Krakow.
