One of the most extensive urban renewal projects for mixed used in Italy will open to the public on 30 November 2017.Massive project by Sonae Sierra with a mix of 100 shops dedicated to shopping, food, lifestyle and entertainment, the CityLife Shopping District creating as the urban shopping center. The area will cover 32,000 sq m of GLA, will be home to international and local names and retailers. As of today, agreements have been closed for over 80% of the retail space, a significant feat and reached with six months until the opening. That milestone proves that the CityLife Shopping District project, being an individual from the commercial and architectural point of view, has been able to meet the concern of the retailers and it will take added value to the city of Milan.
The Shopping District guests will have a huge food area at disposal, together with restaurants in the outside area. The covered food hall continues inside the Mall, designed by Zaha Hadid’s on two levels, and will have 20 bars and cafes for an area of 3,500m2. The area on floor one will emphasize fluid spaces, well lit by natural light, and lounge areas provided services for visitors, such as free Wi-Fi and power outlets to recharge devices. The food hall’s major space is designed to host events which will contribute to bringing this area to life every day.
Between the first restaurants to be declared, Vivo embodies a first for the city: founded on the intuition of the Manno family, that has worked in the fish world since 1904, Vivo will offer particularly fresh fish, oysters, and crudités, in a trendy, contemporary atmosphere. Bomaki, among the most recognized restaurants for fusion Japanese food lovers, will give its famous Japanese food experience.
Among the scoops in CityLife, there will be Pizza Italiana EspressaPIE, the Meatball Family, the well-known Milanese brand, and other original products from the Bel Paese’s gastronomic culture. Situated outside the Mall, the piazza area will be home to three other restaurants: California Bakery, the American-style bistro, Panini Durini, Vapore, with its innovative food concept, will offer healthy, tasty dishes done to creative recipes.
In the partnership with Cinema Anteo, in the Shopping District will be open “City Life Spaziocinema” with seven screens and 1,200 seating places. Inside the Shopping District, there will be an exclusive cluster dedicated to health and well-being, offering several high-quality services for the wellbeing.
