Two variants of face masks with familiar chess patterns will be available to customers - in pale blue or beige.

In recent months, protective face masks have become a necessary attribute for most people in the world. Many brands in the world of fashion and sport have not stood aside from this trend and have already presented masks of their design, rethinking them as fashion accessories. However, their collections of covers from the premium segment are not yet in a hurry to launch large fashion houses. British luxury fashion house Burberry was one of the first to do this.
The company has announced the release of a collection of reusable face masks. Although the brand has already produced a variety of products to fight the pandemic, including medical equipment and facial masks, it was recently announced that the masks created within it are positioned as a luxury accessory for commercial use and at the appropriate price.
The items will be sewn from leftover fabric and sold for about $120, the company said. The masks will be made of cotton fabric and will be available in two colors, blue and beige, traditional for Burberry. It is expected that next season the number of colors will increase. Each mask will come complete with a small travel bag of the same color.
The design of the masks was developed by the WHO recommendations, and particular antimicrobial technologies were used in their creation. The company also stated that the production of masks is based on environmentally friendly technology.
The exact date of the masks' arrival on sale is not announced yet. Anyone can subscribe to receive notifications about the new collection on the official website of the brand.
It is announced that 20% of the revenue from the sale of each mask will be sent to the Burberry Foundation COVID-19 Community Fund. The goal of the fund is to help medical professionals and others affected by the effects of coronavirus, as well as to support research in the field of vaccination.
