The new store openings, occurring as part of a continued growth strategy, will provide new jobs and strengthen its position.
Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO), a subsidiary of Bridgestone Americas and the world's largest automotive service station chain, has announced its intention to open 58 new stores in the United States in 2021. Eighteen of them should be open by the end of April, employing dozens of people. The new openings will be part of the company's strategy for continued growth. In 2020, despite the coronavirus pandemic, the company opened 52 stores nationwide, providing more than 500 new jobs.
Today, BSRO operates more than 2,200 retail locations in the United States under the Firestone Complete Auto Care, Tyres Plus, Hibdon Tyres Plus, and Wheel Works brands. Bridgestone branded retail stores are a cross between a regular store and a service station. The customer can buy the tire size he wants, regardless of whether he came in a small car or an impressive pickup truck, and immediately order their installation. You can also drop off worn tires for recycling, which can then be used for rubberized asphalt, landscaping mulch, construction materials, and more.
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, BSRO president Marco Ibrahim said, the company is pleased that it was still able to "create jobs at 52 new locations and provide needed services to more customers across the country." And since the main goal is to strengthen its position as "the most reliable tire and automotive service provider," the expansion will continue in 2021.
