The world's largest companies continue to use their manufacturing facilities to create new products in this global environment. Today it became known that Apple is preparing to establish a weekly production of about 1 million faceplates for medical personnel.
Tim Cook, Apple's CEO, sent a video message on Twitter, announcing some details of the project. According to him, this is a fully regulated face shield that will be assembled in less than two minutes. To date, the company has supplied more than 20 million medical masks to the market.
According to Cook, the company is actively cooperating with the U.S. authorities to distribute masks evenly in the most affected regions, where there is maximum demand for such products. Apple is also planning to expand its production with the possibility of supplying masks outside the U.S. To date, more than 337,000 cases have been reported in the country, with more than 1.27 million worldwide.
