Apple is preparing to open its first branded store in India. According to 9to5Mac, the corporation is already recruiting while negotiating with the local government to enter the market.
"Today marks one of the major milestones in the creation of Apple's retail history in India. "We are preparing to open our first stores in Mumbai and Delhi," commented Nidhi Sharma, Apple's representative in the country.
The company is looking for a store manager, retail operations expert, and many middle managers.
The exact date of the opening of the stores has not been reported, but it is known that the stores in Delhi and Mumbai could open in late 2021 or early 2022. According to unconfirmed reports, another store will open later in Bangalore.
Apple opened its online store in India in September 2020. In the summer of 2021, it was reported that computer shipments to the country increased by more than 300 percent after the company officially entered the market.
