Apple will increase the number of Express-format stores

It will allow the company to provide faster delivery to consumers of iPhone 12, sales of which will start today.

Some time ago, Apple introduced a format of stores, called Express, specially adapted to the coronavirus pandemic era. It is still the store, limited the room's size, and with a few Plexiglas-protected windows for the issuance of goods and service, as well as several counters with accessories. The simultaneous presence of many customers in the store is impossible, which means that all forms of social distance are observed.

So far, 20 Express stores have been opened, both in the U.S. and Europe. However, as Deidre O'Brien stated, Apple's senior vice president of retail and specialists, by the end of October, the number of stores available in the new format will reach 50. It will allow the company to simplify the sales of new iPhone models, which will be very popular, for sure. Where the stores of the small concept will be opened are not reported yet.  

Apple Stores outside China were closed in mid-March. To date, the company has already opened many of them. However, later some had to close again due to repeated outbreaks of coronavirus disease in these regions. Format Express has emerged as an alternative to the store that serves consumers, but they cannot crowd inside.
