A new pop-up store to be opened with the collaboration of Amazon and Mall of America with Good Housekeeping Magazine.
A new pop-up store to be opened with the collaboration of Amazon and Mall of America with Good Housekeeping Magazine. They announced that it would primarily be selling household products. The Good Housekeeping Institute will test and certify these products before bringing it to the store. As per Adweek, this store will have more than 150 products, recommended by the Institute from 46 popular brands, namely Dyson, Simple Pleasure, Xbox, etc. This store will also display the Elite Ovation Stand Mixer from Kenmore.
Amazon would help with its mobile payment option. It would also take part in ordering and delivering living and dining room products those will be featured in that store. To shop in this store, one needs to have an Amazon account as well as its mobile app because to buy a single product from this store one needs to scan the SmileCode with the help of the app. This store will be primarily for the holiday purpose and will be open for three months, from 3rd October till 30th December.
The magazine company has also opened an implicit storefront on the website of Amazon by the name of GH Tested. This would also sell the products those are certified by the scientists and engineers of GH Institute. They have also come up with a lucky draw option which helps four of you to win a tour to the Mall of America, Minneapolis to visit the pop-up store.
This pop-up store has again proved how mobile shopping can work like a typical conventional store which can help to get a complete shopping exposure to the customers. While visiting the store, you will be privileged to get the intellectual demonstration of those products, which are mostly not available in the normal retail outlets. If you like, you can always order and pay through mobile banking and get home delivery of your product. Though depending upon the product ranges, the associate fees vary from 1% to 10%; however, as per Adweek, the Good Housekeeping has denied to declared the partnership amount.
Good Housekeeping is not the only organization who is trying to set this type of pop up store. Last year organizations like Marie Claire had also come up with a similar kind of pop-up store with a collaboration of Mastercard. That store was featuring on beauty and wellness products, fashion, technology and entertainment. The Next Big Thing Concept Shop by Marie Claire also had a mobile application which can be downloaded from any App Store or Google Play. In that store, one can see the style guidance on the latest collection of designer fashions, provided by Neiman Marcus. Apart from them, other chains like Target, Sephora are also planning to come up with this type of concept stores with little impression and more tech-savvy experiences.
The partnership between Amazon and The Good Housekeeping has bridged the digital world and the physical world with the help of SmileCodes. One can be directed to the product category page or other pages in Amazon with the help of the QR Codes that are there on the boxes.
