In a world where people want to minimize communication, there is an increasing demand for fast-food restaurants, where you can pick up an order without leaving the car.

The fast-food restaurant chain Burger King has introduced several new concepts in their restaurants, designed to ensure that the vast majority of visitors do not arrive without leaving the car. The company has previously experimented with the development of “automobile” formats, but now, against the backdrop of a coronavirus pandemic, such establishments may become the norm.

The first concept is a small room, around which there is enough space for a large number of cars. There is also a covered parking lot, where you can immediately receive an order.

The second concept is a T-shaped two-story room, which still provides some space for regular visitors. What do you need on the second floor? It just takes up less space and frees up more space for cars. There are a kitchen and a hall for visitors on the second floor.

Finally, there is also a variant of the restaurant, where you will not see the staff at all. It looks like an institution with several lockers. The customer orders and pays for the food in the application, and then gets the code needed to open the door. Then you just need to drive up, enter the code, pick up the order, and leave. According to company representatives, these experiments will continue.

But will the Burger King establishment look like this in the future? It plans to build several experimental restaurants in the new format in Miami, as well as in some Latin American and Caribbean countries. And if the tests show the viability of the concept, those Burger Kings will be built everywhere. It is a regular practice for a company, which owns 7000 restaurants in the United States alone, to open new restaurants and rebuild existing ones regularly.
