The new buildings and renovations will result in a massive office space designed to attract new talent.
Spanish retailer Mango has invested 42 million euros in the creation of a new corporate campus. It will be located on a plot of land owned by the company in the municipality of Palau-Solita de Plegamans, in the province of Barcelona, where the company’s headquarters are located. According to an official statement, the campus will be a research and development center, eventually becoming an “engine of change for the organization,” which will attract talented people, both from Spain itself and from other countries.
About half of the 42 million euros has already gone to repair some of the existing buildings. The remainder will be spent constructing new office space, with a total area of about 20,000 square meters. Construction work is due to start at the end of 2021, with completion scheduled for 2024. The new campus is expected to be built and fully operational by then, with a total area of 93,400 square meters, of which 61,000 square meters will be office space.
Mango CEO Tony Ruiz said the company wants to promote new workplace culture approaches that will create a contemporary corporate culture designed to empower employees and make them more determined and proactive. It fits well with the brand’s customer-centric strategy.
