Libero is one of the principal Katowice super-regional shopping centres at ul. Kościuszki 229 in the Brynów-Ligota district of southern Katowice, opened in October 2018 with the 45,000-sqm super-regional format spanning approximately 150 retail and service units. The property was developed by Echo Investment and acquired by Summus Capital, the Estonian real estate investment holding group, on October 29, 2025 for €103 million in the largest single-asset retail transaction recorded in Poland in 2025, with MOFO Architekci as the design architect and BREEAM In-Use rating among the highest of any retail building in Poland.

The format combines the Auchan hypermarket grocery anchor with the principal Polish vertical fashion register featuring H&M, Reserved, Cropp, House, Sinsay, Stradivarius, and the broader Inditex Pull&Bear, Bershka, and Massimo Dutti flagship presence. The Helios multi-screen cinema, the Smyk children’s specialty, the MediaMarkt consumer electronics anchor, the Sephora premium beauty flagship, the Decathlon athletic position, the dedicated bowling alley entertainment, the integrated fitness centre, the broader food court, and the cultural and family-event programming complete the contemporary Upper Silesian super-regional entertainment-and-fashion offer.

The catchment combines the dense southern Katowice residential demographic of the Brynów and Ligota districts with the broader Upper Silesian Metropolis concentration of approximately 290,000 city residents and 2.2 million metropolitan residents and the cross-regional traffic flowing through the principal southern Katowice arterial network connecting to the broader A4 motorway corridor. Summus Capital coordinates the property ownership of Libero following the October 2025 acquisition from Echo Investment, with the broader Summus Capital portfolio totalling 14 properties across the Baltic countries and Poland approximately 271,200 sqm of leasable area and €565 million in total portfolio value, with the Polish portfolio share representing approximately 38 percent of the total following the Libero acquisition.
