Blanchard & Calhoun will be presented today developer’s plans for a new Kroger.

The board will be required to vote on the plans for a new Kroger as an anchor at a larger outdoor mall to be placed on 34 acres on the northern section of the Buckwalter Place development.
These plans consist of five buildings totaling 58000ft² of retail and restaurant space, a new gas station, 1085 parking spaces and a massive public park. It also includes around 150 townhouses and apartments, placed in a single building, as well as above stores in three of the other buildings on the proposal.

A subcommittee of the Bluffton Public Development Corporation approved the conceptual plan during last week. The full board will cast their votes this evening, after which the Planning Commission and Town Council will give it due consideration.
The meeting is due to be held at 5:30pm in the Theodore D Washington Municipal Building at 20 Bridge Street.
