The first physical store is located in the village of Kurna, a 20-minute drive from Tallinn.

IKEA announced the opening of its first retail store in Estonia two years after entering the market. The furniture center is located in the village of Kurna, a 20-minute drive from Tallinn.
The store offers about 9 thousand articles – furniture, household goods and interior decoration items. The space was designed with the needs of local residents in mind, said IKEA. The store features 53 rooms showcasing a variety of home designs tailored to the local market. Among the unique concepts is a glass room for green plants.
Inter IKEA Systems B.V. operates in the Baltics in partnership with Miklatorg, which is also expanding the brand in Iceland. IKEA retail stores are already operating in Lithuania and Latvia. The company entered Estonia with the launch of an online store and the opening of pickup points in 2019. With the launch of the retail chain, Estonia becomes a full-fledged market in the company’s portfolio.
“Miklatorg has a lot of experience in successfully operating retail businesses, and together we’re determined to also make IKEA meaningful and beloved in the homes of our customers in Estonia,” says Maria Johansson, Expansion Manager at Inter IKEA Systems B.V.
