Hermès has reopened its expanded, newly relocated store at the MixC mall in Shenzhen, positioning it within the city’s Luohu Central Business District. Designed by Paris-based RDAI architecture agency, the store takes cues fr om Shenzhen’s “innovative spirit” to create a unique shopping experience. The exterior features jade-colored enamel and ceramic pillars, complemented by expansive street-level windows. Inside, the space is bright and spacious, featuring high ceilings and a palette of warm neutrals. The store’s entryways showcase the Faubourg motif in amber, green, and mother-of-pearl terrazzo, blending Parisian elegance with local aesthetics. Exploring Hermès collections in an immersive setting The store layout guides visitors through Hermès’ renowned collections, with sections dedicated to women’s silk, fashion jewelry, beauty, perfumes, home, equestrian items, and leather goods. An area for watches and jewelry is outfitted with botanical-inspired carpets, adding a naturalistic touch to the luxurious environment. In addition to the brand’s collections, artwork from the Émile Hermès collection is on display, including a painting by Jean-Luc Favero and pieces by French illustrator Alain Biet. Strong performance amid China’s luxury market challenges Hermès continues to thrive in China’s challenging luxury landscape. In its latest quarterly report, the brand posted strong sales growth, outpacing competitors affected by a slowing Chinese economy. Hermès’ expansion reflects its commitment to China, wh ere it now operates 34 stores nationwide.
